Puma (Norwegen) - Noise Rock
A norwegian award winning power trio taking cutting edge norwegian improvised music forward with brute force and masses of noise. The listener will experience the most sincere of melodic music, ranging from loud intense physical gestures to the most concentrated gentle hum. Their musical honesty has made Puma a certain favourite amongst fans of both rock, jazz and electronic music. They are often compared to Supersilent, MoHa and Scorch.

4daladiez (Niederlande)
4daladiez is a newly styled boyband that combines the aesthetics of the Backstreet Boys with the sound of free improv acts like My Cat Is An Alien or Ashtray Navigations. Their sound varies and defies description, but often incorporates extended droning and atonal extrapolations. The looks of the boys are simply beautiful. They primarily play electric guitar, percussions, analogue Moog synthesizers, various toy-instruments, (contact)microphones and Gameboys.

Live shows that leave the crowd screaming for more and then yelling for the band to get off the stage when they deliver. Iron Bitchface is always working to maintain the lack of talent, noise and annoyance that started it all. People are morons who will listen to anything.

Prof. Mugglestone and the History of Science (USA, Berlin)
Through tape layers, radio and swirling microphone feedback loops, the Professor shouts and howls old slaves songs for the next generation of over-exposed posers.  Every performance takes on a different theme involving man's crusade against technology.  He holds nothing back, fire and brimstone beware, the aftermath is here!

More avant-garde weirdness. More childish tomfoolery. More mind mangling noise. More sonic experiments with unusual objects.
How in fucks name can you love this pervasive all encompassing noise bugger crap? Because he beats you into submission with it. He won't let go. He force feeds you his work until you are sick on the carpet. He spits in your eye and pisses on your face. Such a nice guy.

Hypnotique (UK)
Urban myths, dominatrix narratives and satanic soundscapes.
Hypnotique is Weimar chanson meets Throbbing Gristle, Edith Piaf and Delia Derbyshire with a touch of old-school glamour.  Her one-woman electro-cabaret combines urban myths and dominatrix narratives about genocide, voodoo rituals and Princess Diana with radiophonic satanic soundscapes.  She is a virtuoso theremin player and has performed with Jean-Jacques Perrey, Bob Moog and given many TV appearances as D-list celebrity "Miss Hypnotique" including telling Simon Cowell and Paul O'Grady "You Lack Discipline".
John Callaghan (UK) 
Spiky and odd one-man electro-cabaret.
From near-hit single "I'm not comfortable inside my mind" and Warp Records cheapest ever video (£5, beat that Windowlicker), featured on MTV, to nude modelling and performance art stunts (including sponsored masturbation), the multi-costumed, multi-talented John Callaghan, from Birmingham (UK), is a performer of spiky and odd electro-cabaret with songs about hope, melancholia, timewasting and clothes.

Explosives Punk-Cabaret aus Genf

Wer im Winter vergangenen Jahres das Konzert von "What's Wrong With Us?" in der scherer8 erleben durfte, erinnert sich an den gewaltigen Ausbruch von Energie der Genfer Band um die charismatische Sängerin Zoé Cappon und den Bass-Saxophonisten Jonathan Delachaux.

Am 27.09.2007 gibt es Gelegenheit, dieses einzigartige Spektakel, nur wenige Schritte von der ehemaligen scherer8 entfernt, in der Jatz-Bar erneut zu erleben. Wilde Rhythmen, Punk und Kabarett, Jazz und Elektronik. Weill begegnet Kafka begegnet John Zorn. Musik jenseits aller Konventionen - ein typisches scherer8-Konzert.

März 2004 bis März 2007 -
Der Wedding wird es nie vergessen!

Mit der Eröffnungsparty am 19. März 2004  begann  die Geschichte eines vielbeachteten Kulturprojekts im Berliner Wedding. Gemeinnützig und finanziell sowie politisch unabhängig platzierte der Verein "Galerie Scherer8" zeitgenössische Kunst zwischen Trash, Avantgarde und High Quality.

Zahlreiche internationale Künstler und Musiker nutzten das Areal rund um die Schererstraße 8. Jenseits städtischer Kulturförderung entstand so ein Netzwerk engagierter Künstler und Kulturschaffender.


Dieser Umschlagplatz umtriebiger Ideen suchte in Berlin über Jahre hinweg seinesgleichen. Von stadtbekannten Zechprellern bis hin zu Pop-Ikonen wie Nikki Sudden trafen hier alle unter dem Slogan "Radikales Entertainment!" aufeinander  - und hinterließen ihre Spuren.


Für die weltweite Noise und Hardcore-Szene war die Scherer8 zentrale Schnitt- und Anlaufstelle.

Mit dem Hausprojekt Schererstraße/Adolfstraße hat die Galerie scherer8 nichts zu tun.
